Week One Picks - Part 2

 Vikings -3.5 over the Falcons

Vikings have the most underrated defense in the league and the best offensive line in the league.  The Falcons will not be able to move the ball on the Vikings who will eat the clock up over the course of the game.  This line of 3.5 points indicates that since home field is worth roughly 3 points the Vikings are favored by .5 points.  The Vikings are the better team.

Denver (-3.5) over Buffalo

Buffalo's strength is Losman throwing the deep ball to Evans, but that will not work against Champ Bailey.  Buffalo's weakness is defending the run which happens to be Denver's strenth.  Great matchup for Denver.

Jets +6.5 over the Patriots

Patriots are the better team.  However if this game were in a neutral field the Pats would by 9.5 point favorites.  They are not that much better than the Jets who were 10-6 last year and the addition of Jones should make them a 10-6 team once again.  Plus the Jets played the Patriots tough last season.

Philly -3.5 over Packers

The Eagles will throw to the flats which is the Packers weakness, whereas the Packers will try to throw to their receivers which will be very difficult against a good secondary.

San Diego -6.5 over Chargers

San Deigo  is  a much better team than the Bears.  3.5 points in a neutral field is not nearly enough to fill the talent gap between these two teams.

Oakland -1.5 over Detriot

Oakland is the better team and they are playing at home.  They should be a 6 point favorite until Detriot can show some defense.  Kitna's potential problems should only solidify the bet.

Dallas -6.5 over the Giants

Dallas might be the best team in the NFC.  The Giants have nothing but  question marks.  Giants are a in for a long season until they can prove that Eli can run the offense without Tiki Barber.    DeMarcus Ware will give Manning a lot of problems.

Colts over Saints

The Colts won the game with the stretch play and knowledge of Jason David's tendencies.   Jason David gave up three touchdowns on three skinny posts (two to Wayne one to Harrison).  Do you think that the Colts have a good scouting report on David?
