WEEK 15 PICK 5

Attention Goldmembers: we are in the midst of losing another non-Sunday game, so we must make it up this Sunday going at least 4 for 5.  I have no time to explain my picks as I am wiped out taking care of the newest addition to the Gold household, but here are this week's Golden locks: (1) Jacksonville +3.5 at Pittsburgh, Jacksonville is just the type of physical team that gives the Steelers trouble, (2) Seattle -9 at Carolina, Seattle's defense and Carolina's offense are on inverse rolls, Seattle huge, (3) San Francisco +9 vs. Cincinnati, the Bengals have found their offense because of Rudi Johnson, the Niners' run defense has hit their stride because of Patrick Willis, advantage new quarterback Shaun Hill and the Niners, (4) Arizona +3.5 at New Orleans, don't let Petrino's quitters and their poor all-around showing fool you, the Saints are not that good, and Arizona and Kurt Warner will carve up that secondary, take the Cards and the points, (5) Cleveland -5.5 vs. Buffalo, the Browns, especially Derek Anderson, are just plain better at home, and Buffalo has won 7 out of 10 since starting 0-3, 7 wins against 5 teams that are a combined 18-47, none against teams with a winning record, Browns in a blowout.  More in-depth analysis next week, later players.

lol, ya I meant Santonio Holmes, they are basically the same reciever... good prediction on the SF game, nobody saw that comin... But the Jags are missing too many key players on Defense to stop the Steelers at home (Peterson and Stroud) there best linebacker and best lineman...

Also I am making a prediction on the NYJ@NE game. This game is scheduled for COLD weather with snow, expect it to be lower scoring and the Jets should cover 23...

hey nfl dawg, i was wondering when the steelers got randle el back??? i know what you mean though, but to defend my pick, the jags are good enough on defense and running the ball to keep this game very close and they only need to stay within a field goal, they don't have to win. thanks for your comments though and keep them coming.

i agree with NFL DWG, i wouldnt bet against the steelers at home unless they were playing the pats. they just get the job done at home. i simply wouldnt touch that game. Also the CIN@SF game, i cant bring myself to bet on SF, they have shown no promise, especially against a team that has underachieved all year long in Cinci. I can honestly see SF getting blown out again like they did vs MIN last week. who knows tho. also i wouldnt bet against NO, as they have been disappointing thus far, but can step their game up for certain games, hard game to bet on, but i have a feeling NO will get it done at home. I think theres easier games to pick than a lot of these matchups, but kudos if you have the forsight to see something that i dont. cheers again DAMAN. happy holidays bro

Hey, Im liking most of the pics this week except for JAC@PIT. The Steelers will take care of business at home for several reasons. 1) They are getting the best safety in the league back, their defensive leader Mr. Polamalu himself. 2) They are 7-0 at home and will NOT lose at home. 3) the Jags are not a cold weather team, the weather is expected to be snow. 3) The Jags and the Steelers have very similar teams, the only difference is the playmakers, the Jags have nobody at WR to make big plays for them, the Steelers have Ward and Randle El. Look for the Steelers to execute come game time...

Another Pick I disagree with is CIN@SF. SF is in total disarray and they have shown ZERO sign of improvement. This is simply a bad team, sure the Bengals are bad but they dont suck to the same extent as the Niners. The Bengals defense has been playing great lately and I expect them to cause turnovers from an anemic 49er Offense.

Also the ARI@NO game could be decided if boldin/fitz dont play, check on those two before the game (they are both listed as game time decisions)
