Ups and DownsPosted by SportsFinanceGuy in Untagged |
It's been an up and down week for me, but tonight is a big night in the NBA so I wanted to talk a little about my picks for tonight and how I make my choices. Using my system of taking plays that show over a 55% edge in the daily betting predictions, I would have well over the 10 I have set for my daily max. So I need to remove some choices from the board in order to stick to my rules.
The first way I eliminate some choices is to look at the daily line report. The UT/SAC game is a good example. According to the predictions, I should take UT –;7.5 and under 213.5. However, looking at the daily line I can see that accuscore has not been great at predicting the Kings who are a pretty erratic team. I like UT in this game, but with the 7.5 point spread and really high over/under I will stay away.
Another game I avoided is the LAL/DAL game. The main reason is that I am a Laker fan and don’t like betting against the teams I root for. So in order for me to just enjoy the game as a fan, I’ll stay away from betting it. Remember that this is a system, I want to avoid making emotional decisions. Another way to eliminate picks is to just use your instinct. Many times the accuscore predictions will go against your gut feeling for a game. In these cases I tend to just move on to other picks and only take the plays where my gut and accuscore agree. Hopefully these tips can help you make your decisions and improve your overall accuracy. So now on to my plays for tonight...
