Thursday night football

Ok everybody, your money man is back on track and ready to crack.....the bank that is, but first a rant.  I can't stand Thursday night football.  I think it puts a bad product on the field; think about it, the teams only get 3 days to recover and implement a gameplan for this new opponent.(perhaps that's why a couple games last year ended up with scores like 13-7 and 9-7).  In addition, those teams then get an advantage the next week because of the extra time to recover and gameplan.  I know that the NFL's greed machine is never satisfied and always hungry for more, but I, for one, think that there are ways to do this without so adversely affecting the product.  Now that I have that off my chest, I can concentrate on this week's Thursday night throwdown, which actually features two teams with a full week's rest.  When Dallas has the ball I look for them to possibly use the ground game a little more than usual.  Green Bay is down a couple defensive linemen which doesn't hurt them as much as some teams because they have an 8 man rotation which is now cut to 6, but it may make them more vulnerable to the run.  The Packer secondary is one of the best in the NFL and I can promise you that they will not lose sight of T.O. the way the Redskins and Giants did in recent weeks.  The other benefit of running the ball a little is ball control; Dallas has a great offense, but so does their opponent, and if there is one quarterback who's hotter than Tony Romo right now, it is without question, Tom Brady, but if there were two quarterbacks hotter than Romo, the other one would be Favre.  Favre is playing at a level that may be unprecedented in his career.  The Packers have no running game to speak of, yet Favre continues to shine, rising to the occasion each and every week.  That's why when Green Bay has the ball they will be doing what they always do, throw throw throw and then if we are up by enough, maybe we'll run a little.  Dallas does have a good pass rush, but the improved play of the Packer offensive line is one reason for Brett's success as he has only been sacked 14 times.  The Packers also have a great pass rush(two more sacks than Dallas), but Tony Romo, aided by his own elusiveness,  has also been protected well(sacked twice more than Favre).  Favre is 0-8 all time at Dallas, although up until a few weeks ago he had never beaten the Chiefs either.  I believe that both offenses will be able to move the ball and that this game will be won in the fourth quarter.  Games like this are often won with experience, and I give that edge to Brett Favre, even though I believe that Dallas is the better team.  Gabriel Gold, the money man, is telling you to take Green Bay and the points, they may win this game outright, but take the points just to be safe.  Now that you have the lowdown, you can just kick back and enjoy the game(that is if you are one of the lucky people who have the NFL Network).

should be a close one, two big play offenses goin at it. Homefield is huge, so are injuries. i like DAL giving 7. might buy it to 6.5 to be safe. should be a good game though.
