To get a good idea of the history behind my NFL system, I am back tracking and calculating week two of the 2003-2006 seasons, in hopes of finding some solid trends to use.  Below is the data for week two of the 2005 season, using the week one data.

The following numbers are the trends that we find here:

7-0-1:  1-1 when taking the 7-0-1 teams.  1-1 when taking favorites.
7-1:  1-1 when taking the 7-1 teams.  1-1 on favorites.
6-1-1:  1-0 when taking the 6-1-1 teams.  1-0 on favorites.
5-0-3:  1-1 when taking the 5-0-3 teams.  1-0 on favorites.  One spread was a pick.
5-2-1:  0-3-1 when taking the 5-2-1 teams.  3-0-1 when taking favorites.
4-2-2:  1-0 when taking 4-2-2 team.  1-0 on underdogs.
4-3-1:  2-0 when taking 4-3-1 teams.  1-1 on favorites.
3-2-3:  0-1 when taking the 3-2-3 team.  1-0 on underdogs.
3-3-2:  1-0 on underdogs.

Interesting Notes:  Favorites went 8-6-1 this week.  One spread had no line and doesn't count in these results.  Favorites with a spread over a touchdown went 1-1.
