Super Bowl Game and TotalPosted by DAMAN in Untagged |
Attention Goldmembers: It's finally upon us, the hype is over, and it's time to get serious; it's the Grandaddy of 'em all, oh wait that's not it, it's the(trumpet sounding) SUPER BOWL. I know what the popular pick is for this game, and I am here to tell you that the masses are absolutely, 100% wrong. Five times as much of the early money was coming in on the Giants as on the Patriots, which has conveniently lowered the line from 14.5 to 12.5, and I will take advantage, as should you. Brady and his Perfectriots(I am looking at getting this nickname trademarked, so don't even think about stealing it) are being dubbed the home team, while the New York Football Giants have been designated as the road team, which is just fine for the Road Warriors. I actually called the Giants that before I heard it on ESPN, so in my mind they stole it from me. (Foreshadowing: wouldn't it be ironic if the Giants drafted Road Warrior Animal's son James Laurinitis form Ohio St.---or not, I was just saying) Now on to the actual game. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Bill Belichik the best coach in the league(perhaps in the history of the league) at making halftime adjustment? If you don't believe me, look at all the games that they won close this year and look back at the halftime score. Considering that these two teams just played a month ago, Belichik already knows what he needs to and has had two weeks to make adjustments. This game will not, I repeat, will not be close. Need more proof, look at the Jets playoff game a year ago, blowout. Look at all the playoff wins over the Colts, blowouts. New England will take away Burress, and neither Jacobs, nor Bradshaw will be allowed to be a factor. It's tough to keep running the ball when you're down 2 or 3 scores. This game will be double digits at halftime, and the Perfectriots(trademark pending) will easily cover 12.5 points.(probably even double it). My prediction for the game is 42-17, which means that if you are betting the total, you want the over. If you own a farm, and you would like to own 90.90% of another farm, then put the farm on the Patriots to cover 12.5. I also recommend parlaying the Perfectriots and the over, so maybe you want to bet 75% of the farm on the Pats to cover, and the other 25% on a 5/2 parlay with the Pats at -12.5 and over 54. No matter what you decide, just decide to put something down on the Patriots to cover 12.5, I can't say it enough, this game is not going to be close. In fact, I may just make enough off of this pick to start up my own pick service, so this may be the last free pick you get, so listen up Goldmembers, I will say it one last time. This game will be a blowout, the Patriots will be 19-0, they will cover 12.5 points, and I am going to clean up. Check back over the next month as I continue my look back at the wild and wacky year that was in the NFL with the next team being the Denver Broncos.

| hey dwg, how can you think the pats won't cover, but bet on them anyway. you gotta bet with your head and not your heart. but don't worry, your head is wrong, because the pats will destroy the giants. i know this is the god damn superbowl, but there have been superbowl blowouts before, and although the pats' superbowl victories have all been by 3 points, but these patriots are the best of the 4 superbowl teams, by far. no worries, dwg, the pats HUGE. |

| Thats a pretty Bold prediction buddy. How can you be soo confident that the Pats will blow the Giants away? They played a few weeks ago and the Giants almost WON! Im not saying they will win this game but I dont think they will get blown out. This is the god damn Superbowl, All of the patriots superbowl wins have been close and the Giants have put the most pressure on Brady that I have seen all year. They are not stupid like Jacksonville and San Diego, they wont "wait for the Pats to screw up". When we played them, Brady had pressure in his face all night and they STUFFED the running game. Also, the Pats havent covered a Spread since the Pittsburgh game, while the Giants are perfect ATS in the playoffs... There is no way I can see this game being a blowout. |
