But where are the clowns?
Quick, send in the clowns.
Don't bother, they're here.
Every year the Ringling Brother Circus come to the United Center, and the clowns head west for their annual beating. The 2-8 Bulls haven't disappointed us with this year's effort with their only win coming against the hapless Clippers. At least they'll be in New York on Saturday so they should walk away with a win. The real question is which game would you rather watch the Pre-Season N.I.T. championship game on Friday or the thrilling Bulls v/s Knicks game on Saturday. Both should help insomniacs everywhere.
The Bears lost a die hard fan last week when my grandma passed away on Monday. (Which is why there were no new thoughts last week.) She had been in the hospital for a few months so her passing was not a great shock, but I can't help but think that watch Rex Grossman come into the game in Oakland and fumble his first snap is what put her over the edge. Hell when he was named the starter again I wanted to die. So not only can we blame Sexy Rexy for the Super Bowl loss, and the shitty start to this season, but I will also place my grandma's death on his head. Enjoy the rest of your time in Chicago Rex.
Oh the Blackhawks are also on the road due to the circus in case anyone was wonder if they still play hockey in Chicago.
Hey, I paid 70 bucks to sit in the back of the end zone to watch Notre Dame play Duke. Am I living the High Life?
Stat of the week: In its past two games, Detroit has a net total of 7 yards rushing. Maybe Kevin Jones isn't a good fantasy play after all.
Texas Tech's win over Oklahoma was the 11th time this season that an unranked team beat a team in the top 5. LSU is proving that it's not who you lose to but when you lose that matters in the rankings. Kentucky has lost three of their last four games since beating LSU. Yet the Tiger are #1. Illinois had tough losses to #4 Missouri, Iowa, and Michigan, but their win over Ohio St. has all but knocked the Buckeyes out of contention. Maybe we could use a Plus 1 playoff system. (If you keeping score at home this are the 123rd times I've flip flopped on a college playoff.)
MLB is auctioning off a can of bug spray used by the Yankees in Game 2 against the Indians. On shot of the stuff and you'll be choking in you'll beer league playoff games just like the Yanks. (Steroidal 1st baseman not included)
Well that's it for now.
Until next time,
Boiler Up! Or BTFU! If you prefer.
