NLCS
Rockies in 6

I think Colorado is just too hot right now, and won't be stopped by the D-Backs. Both teams have young talented position players, but I like the Rockies hitters better. Matt Holliday is the best hitter in this series, and his team has more overall depth throughout the lineup (more power too). Outside of Brandon Webb, I don't think any of Arizona's starters can shutdown the opposing lineup, and if Webb doesn't win both of his starts the D-Backs have no shot.

Outfielder Matt Holliday is the best hitter in this series.

ALCS
Red Sox in 7

I actually think this match-up is closer than the one in the NL. The Indians have two of the top pitchers in all of baseball in C.C. Sabathia and Fausto Carmona. Going against those two in four out of a possible seven games will be a tall task for the Red Sox. Boston though, has patient hitters and Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz are back to their dangerous selves. They can break any game open against any pitcher at all times. The Indians do feature two of the best relievers in the game in Rafael Betancourt and lefty Rafael Perez, but neither is the closer. That would be Joe Borowski he of the 45 saves and 5.07 ERA. Borowski does not exactly instill confidence, and I think he is bound to give up a lead or two against Boston.

Will Joe Borowski be handle the pressure of pitching with a one-run lead in the 9th, a runner on, and David Ortiz at the plate?
