Well, the Rockies didn’t make quite that many changes to their roster, but they were close.  Struggling starter Franklin Morales was demoted to work on his consistency and control leaving a hole in the rotation.  Kip Wells was put on the DL so he couldn’t spot start.  With no other viable candidates, the Rockies completed a trade for Kansas City’s Jorge De La Rosa who will slide into the rotation and pitch on Saturday.  De La Rosa’s been

The four teams with the best records in baseball all play in the American League (Red Sox, Yankees, Angels, and Indians). This has led many to dismiss the quality of play in the Senior Circuit, but as evidenced by the World Series a year ago, that would be a big mistake. While there was no dominant team in the National League this year, through the first two games of the playoffs there was clearly one dominant division: the NL West.
