Ricky Williams is back again?

Posted by Kalk in Ricky WilliamsMiami Dolphins

Apparently, Ricky Williams is coming back.........again. After being suspended for failing drug tests--big surprise after he retired to live in Jamaica and smoke pot--he is back in the NFL. The 0-9 Miami Dolphins get this guy back. *waits for cheers but hears crickets instead*

While I realize that pot is less dangerous than some legal drugs--see cigarettes, alcohol--I don't believe that he is worth the risk. He is one failed drug test away from being banned for life. If I were a team owner, I would not be willing to take that risk and pay him anything. He could easily be out of the

Comparisons

Toward the end of the San Diego-Indianapolis game, I was waiting for the announcers to make some comparisons to the Dallas-Buffalo game earlier in the season. They didn't, so I will.

Romo 5 ints vs. Bills, Manning 6 ints vs. Chargers; Dallas 6 turnovers (all from Romo), Indianapolis 6 turnovers (all from Manning); Dallas 385 yards, Indianapolis 386; Romo 309 yards passing, Manning 328; Romo 2 passing TDs, Manning 2 passing TDs; Buffalo 21 pts directly off returns (14 ints, 7 kick), San Diego 14 (7 kick, 7 punt); Dallas and Indianapolis both missed a potential game-tying 2-pt. conversion

Going to sound like a jerk for a second here.

Watching the New England-Dallas game on tv last weekend, I re-learned why I hate the Patriots. They don't have any class. When you're up by 14 with 20 seconds left, there's no need to go for the touchdown. There's no need to still have Brady & Co. out on the field. Get your backups out there, and kick the meaningless field goal or take a knee.

Now for the part where I sound like a jerk. Part of me is hoping that while the Patriots are showing their lack of class with Brady out on the field during a meaningless drive, Brady gets sacked--hard--and doesn't get

strange game

As a Cowboys fan, I took Buffalo for granted.......I thought this would be an easy game (I even wagered 1000 points in the challenge on them--ouch). I didn't count on 5 interceptions (2 returned for TDs) and a fumble.......all by Tony Romo, the second-highest rated passer going into this week's games. I almost started crying when Owens had the 2-point conversion ripped away from him, and again when his called catch was overturned.

Romo led the Cowboys down the field on a couple quick passes, and Nick Folk came on to attempt his longest FG of his (now) 5-game career at 53 yards

Today went badly

This week was going well.......I was in the top 5 on the challenge for the week.......then today happened. 2-5 today.......went from about 1500 up to 500 down in one day. My NFL picks were good.......if they were flat wins......but three teams failed to bead the spread. Baltimore only won by 2, and Arizona and Houston only one by 3 each.......the GB one was bad though, as they failed to stop a woeful Bears team and lost by 7--the only NFL team I picked that lost straight up. Indians choked, but I don't much care about that.
