Well here we are, one last week of bye's and we are in the home stretch. Lets see if there are any players available to help you through next week and beyond.

May be available now...

Sage Rosenfels QB (HOU) -If Schaub misses any time, Sage steps in. As explosive as the Houston offense is, he would be someone you would consider starting week to week. Grab him if it is not looking good for Schaub OR if you own Schaub.

Dan Orlovsky QB (DET) - His 292 and 2 touchdowns performance versus the Bears on the road indicates that he could be

Wow! Can you believe it is already going to be week 8? We are almost half way through the season and for some of you, the fantasy playoffs are lurking closer and closer. Lets look at how you can shore up that roster to make sure you have the best options available when that time comes.

Check out who is available this week.

May be available now...

Trent Edwards QB (BUF) - He is performing every time he steps on to the field. This week against San Diego he posted 261 yards with a touchdown. He may not be a QB1 yet

Even with the midpoint of the season approaching, there are still some solid players that are lying around on the waiver wire who can help you get closer to your goal. Here are a few of this weeks hot prospects.

May be available now...

Matt Schaub QB (HOU) - Finally, Houston gets a W. Schaub had 2 picks but had 379 yards, a passing touchdown and a 1 game winning rushing touchdown. This offense is really starting to heat up and with home game against the Lions this week, he will be an excellent option for you if he is

Building this list was a little tricky this week but I managed to find a few players worth picking up and list a few more that you can add to your watch list. Check them out.

May be available now...

Kyle Orton QB (CHI) - Don't look now but Mr. Orton is starting to look like a fantasy QB. I recommended that you pick him you last week and I am doing it again this week. And after a 334 yard, 2 touchdown performance against Detroit I am doing it with a little more certainty. A great bye week spot start this week with

Fantasy Football Start’em Sit’em and Sleepers Picks for Week 5

This article was originaly published on my blog FantasyFootballGoat.com.

So far rookies are making quite an impact in fantasy leagues. If you own players like Chris Johnson, DeSean Jackson, and Eddie Royal you know what I am talking about. There is no doubt that competition for Rookie of the Year in 2008 is about as stiff as any in my lifetime.

This week, look for a few other rookies to make a case for the coveted title and help your fantasy squad in the process

Can you believe how crazy this season is? Denver loses to Kansas City. Favre and Coles both questionable early only to go on to light up the Cards for 56. Braylon Edwards finally gets a touchdown in week four. And Washington, looking as bad as they did week one, goes into Dallas and wins. Damn!

As hard as it is to predict any of this mayhem, there are still plenty of safe bets when it comes to grabbing guys off of the waiver wire. Look at what I have for you today.

Hope you are ready to shuffle your line-up this week because the bye weeks are officially here. It is possible that you might be without full time starters like Peyton Manning, Calvin Johnson or Joseph Addai entering week four's action. That's not usually a good thing but lets see if we can help you minimize the blow.

Here are a few players you can stick in the line-up and not miss a beat along with a few you will be better off avoiding.

Start em if you got em

Chris Perry RB (CIN) - Believe it

Well it took until week 3 but you and I finally saw a little something out of a few highly touted fantasy performers this week. LJ, Fred Taylor and MJD all went over 100 for the first time. The Bengals - minus Ohco - offered some hope going forward. And Ronnie Brown went ballistic on the Pats.

But, even though some of you can breathe a little easier, there are still plenty of opportunities to improve your team using a few of the players below. Also, the bye weeks start next week so you might be looking for a fill-ins. Check'em out!

What a wild and crazy week of games.  There were eight quarterbacks throwing for over 300 yards last weekend and Monday nights score fest provided a ton of drama in leagues everywhere. Hopefully you were the benefactor of all of the scoring.

Looking ahead to this weekend, there are a few more potential score fests and my first pick should be in line for another high scoring fantasy performance.

Start em if you got em

Jay Cutler QB (DEN) - The man is a bona-fide fantasy stud. He has 650 yards and 6

There were some huge numbers posted today for many of the skill position players. Seven quarterbacks went of the the 300 yard mark. Hopefully you had one of those guys. If you didn't, there is a chance you may be able to grab one of them for next week.

Check it out.
May be available now...

J.T. O'Sullivan QB (SF) - Not only did he throw for 321 and a TD, but right now he is doing enough to help his team win without making big mistakes. That along with the fact  that he is playing a few pass-soft defenses - Detroit and New Orleans - over the next couple weeks
