Monday night matchup

Posted by DAMAN in Untagged

OK, perhaps I am just losing steam here, kind of like New England did last week, but the only thing I can do is keep plugging away.  I have been toting myself as the money man for weeks now and my ego may be catching up to me as I have found myself struggling, so starting tonight, it's back to basics, just the picks and the analysis and no horn-blowing.  Not that I need to remind you, but I failed on my guarantee this week, which means this pick is free, and each week from here on out will be free until I hit 70% for a given week, but first let's finish this week off on a positive

WEEK 13 PICK 5

Posted by DAMAN in Untagged

OK sport, listen up: Gabriel Gold is back, I mean it, I'm truly back.  Need some proof do ya, well here it is: I am a handicapper with heart and I know that if I struggle, it stands to reason that you struggle as well.  That, my loyal followers, is why for one week only I will offer you a money back guarantee(again I know I am not charging you yet, but in the spirit of preparation for when I do, this is how it will go).  When you go through a slump like I am in now, missing 5 of my last 7, you have to do something to  snap out of it and since I work best under pressure

Thursday night football

Posted by DAMAN in Untagged

Ok everybody, your money man is back on track and ready to crack.....the bank that is, but first a rant.  I can't stand Thursday night football.  I think it puts a bad product on the field; think about it, the teams only get 3 days to recover and implement a gameplan for this new opponent.(perhaps that's why a couple games last year ended up with scores like 13-7 and 9-7).  In addition, those teams then get an advantage the next week because of the extra time to recover and gameplan.  I know that the NFL's greed machine is never satisfied and always hungry for more

Monday night matchup

OK, no matter how you look at things we need this game tonight.  Accuscore runs their weeks Monday through Sunday which means last week we went 4-4, but since I mainly bet on NFL, I run my weeks Tuesday through Monday which means we are 4-3 so far.  So whether its to start the week off well after a .500 week, or to end the week 5-3, like I said, we need this game, so here goes.  The Pittsburgh Steelers are 5-0 at home against teams with a .473 winning percentage, winning each game by at least 21 except the most recent one against Cleveland.  Miami has no offense to speak of

PICK 5 FINISH + BONUS PICKS

Posted by DAMAN in Untagged

Alright everybody, the money man is back looking to continue my roll as I have hit on 8 out of 10, so let's get started.  I have not one, but two upset specials for you to choose from, or play both if you have the guts and/or faith in me.  First let's look at Houston at Cleveland.  The Browns have won 4 of 5 and are riding high, possibly too high as I think they may suffer a bit of a letdown after last week's improbable win at Baltimore.  Cleveland's offense is great, there is no question about that, but Houston actually averages more yards despite scoring

WEEK 12 PICK 5 starter pack:Turkey Day 2 pack

Posted by DAMAN in Untagged

OK loyal and kind followers, let me start off by saying thank you and I'm sorry. I would like say thanks for the kind words of those who commented on my Monday night matchup post and also say sorry. As I stated my wife was about to be admitted into the hospital and to explain, we are expecting our first child in about a month. My wife, God bless her soul, has been having some high blood pressure issues and they wanted to watch her overnight which had me a little frazzled. When I first started my research for the Titan-Bronco game I was leaning toward Tennesse, but

Monday night matchup

sorry folks, this will be a short post, as my wife is about to be admitted into the hospital for observation.  I believe that Tennessee will run all over the Broncos tonight and Selvin Young or Travis Henry will not be effective enough against the #3 run defense, Haynesworth or not.  Take Tennessee over the Broncos, and I like the under.

WEEK 11 UPSET SPECIAL AND PICK 5

Posted by DAMAN in Untagged

Alright everybody, Gabriel Gold is back with some more money picks for you.  Last week we went 4-3 with the upset special and Monday night pick and a bet of 110 per point spread and 100 for each of the two moneylines suggested netted us 170; of course if you put 714 on everything(500 Accuscore Challenge points divided equally amongst 7 picks), that profit jumps to nearly 1300.  So let's get another winning week started.  First, there is my upset special.  Two teams coming off wins will square off in Cincinnati.  Of the two wins Arizona's was more impressive, absolutely

Monday night matchup

Alright everybody, listen up: if you did everything I told you to this week, you came out ahead so far.  If you put 100 on the two moneylines I mentioned and 110 to win 100 on the other 4 picks I gave you, then you would be ahead 70 right now, not much but we are ahead.  Let's finish the week off right and nail this Monday night game.  Seattle will come out throwing the ball tonight.  They haven't been running it well and despite being 25th in yards against the run, San Fran only gives up 3.9 per carry.  I think Morris will do the bulk of the running over Alexander

WEEK 10 PICK 5

Posted by DAMAN in Untagged

As a new feature this week, I will begin my (imaginary) career as a handicapper.  I have recently stated that I am considering starting a call line for handicapping advice and this week begins my serious exploration into my abilities in this area.  I have put a lot of effort this year into the details of the NFL and its games, trends, stats and all that affects the actual on-field product.  Despite my three fantasy teams having a combined 13-14 record to this point(injuries at running back being the main culprit), I feel that I'm making progress in my evaluatory skills.
