Saturday night simulcast

Posted by DAMAN in Untagged

Attention Goldmembers: thanks to the NFL's sheer generosity, or perhaps greed, everyone will get to see the Patriots make history.  Yes, they will make history.  According to this website, the Giants do intend to play their starters, but I don't believe they will play the whole game, and even if they do, the Patriots did not come this far to take any chances.  The 13.5 spread will be more than covered by halftime, and if you think Belichick, Brady, Moss and the gang will take their foot off the gas, did you see the end of the Miami game when they had Moss in to play defensive

Christmas Eve Football

Posted by DAMAN in Untagged

Attention Goldmembers: 3 out of 5 yesterday(unless you followed my college football advice which I told you was not well researched) means we are 13 out of our last 19 and if you left the points on the table with Washington last night, it's more like 14+ out of 19, so let's get to tonight's game. San Diego has really taken off as of late because they have rediscovered the league's best running back, LT. Rivers is still suspect, which is why they won't make much noise in the playoffs, but he will not be too big a part of the gameplan tonight. LT needs just

WEEK 16 PICK 5

Posted by DAMAN in Untagged

Attention Goldmembers: OK we are 2 for 2 thus far this week and 10 for our last 13, so lets get at least 4 out of 5 on these picks and really start to pick up some steam heading into the stretch run, I have some great picks for you this week, so lets get started.  Philadelphia is getting 3 points at New Orleans.  McNabb and company are fresh off upsetting Dallas last week and although Brees has been playing well lately, Romo had been better before last week.  The Eagles will be able to move the ball well against the Saints, especially through the air against the 30th ranked New

Thursday night football

Attention Goldmembers: we have hit 9 out of our last 12 and there's no need to get the train off the track now.  In tonight's game, Willie Parker and the Steelers offensive line will run all over the St. Louis defense.  The Rams are not a physical team, they gave up nearly 200 yards on the ground to Cincinnati two weeks ago.  Look for Big Ben to take advantage of the ground attack's success with some well-timed play action passes for big gainers as well.  Steven Jackson will not repeat his 143 yard performance from last week against the leagues 3rd best run and

Monday night matchup

Posted by DAMAN in Untagged

Attention Goldmembers: we had an ok week and all we need to top it off right is a big Monday night win.  I have broke out of my slump a little bit on Sundays going 8 for my last 10, but on Monday and Thursday, well, I can't remember the last time I won, so if you decide to go with the odds and pick opposite me this week, then I can't blame you, but I feel pretty good about this pick.  Minnesota has absolutely ressurected their season winning 4 straight and the last 3 by a combined 110-34.  Chicago has lost 3 of 4 and is turning back to Kyle Orton.  Orton is 10-5

WEEK 15 PICK 5

Posted by DAMAN in Untagged

Attention Goldmembers: we are in the midst of losing another non-Sunday game, so we must make it up this Sunday going at least 4 for 5.  I have no time to explain my picks as I am wiped out taking care of the newest addition to the Gold household, but here are this week's Golden locks: (1) Jacksonville +3.5 at Pittsburgh, Jacksonville is just the type of physical team that gives the Steelers trouble, (2) Seattle -9 at Carolina, Seattle's defense and Carolina's offense are on inverse rolls, Seattle huge, (3) San Francisco +9 vs. Cincinnati, the Bengals have found their offense

Thursday night football

hey Goldmembers, no time for a long analysis as I am just home from the hospital with the new baby, but I like Denver in tonight's game.  The student has not yet become the teacher.  Denver -1 is the pick.

Monday night matchup

Gabriel Gold here to say: for those of you who stuck with me through the bad times, I hope you reaped the rewards yesterday as we went 5 for 5; I had already squandered my accuscore allowance and therefore didn't rake it in on the accuscore challenge, but still feel good about my selections for yesterday, as well as this game.  Atlanta will be starting Chris Redman who looked good in relief last week and faces a Saints secondary which ranks 28th in yardage allowed and dead last at 8.0 yards per attempt.  Look for Chris Redman to find Roddy White early and often, last week White had

WEEK 14 PICK 5

Posted by DAMAN in Untagged

Gabriel Gold here to say that if you are still reading this blog after my recent struggles, thank you for your continued support and faith and I won't let you down.  I have five winners for you this week, that's right we are shooting for the moon, a perfect Sunday.  First pick: Jacksonville -10.5 over Carolina.  Carolina's offense is pathetic.  They are probably gonna start Vinny althought that doesn't mean he will finish, and if he doesn't, rookie Matt Moore(who????? exactly) will have a 50/50 shot of getting on the field.  Carolina will try to

Thursday night football

Have I mentioned that I don't like Thursday night games? Anyways, here is the way this game will shake out.  Washington is in no shape to play this game three days after burying Sean Taylor.  Speaking of Sean Taylor, he will be sorely missed off the field, but also on.  The Bears, with Sexy Rexy back under center, are starting to get into more of an offensive groove, after all if Devin Hester catches that ball last week, they beat the Giants and are in the middle of the playoff hunt.  Washington can stop the run fairly effectively, but Rex will hurt them through the air
