There were some pretty surprising performances last week. Antwaan Randle El, Vincent Jackson and D.J. Hackett far exceeded expectations while usual studs like Plaxico Burress and Clinton Portis laid a freakin egg.

As for my sleepers selections last week, Shaun Alexander, Nate Keading and Jeremy Stevens didn’t work out as well as I thought. But, Shaun and Nate each have a legitimate shot at posting some solid numbers this week.

Hopefully you took my advice on Eli Manning, Chris Chambers and the Seattle defense. They all posted

NHL games for 1/8

Most of you that use Accuscore already know this but for whoever is new to the site here is a brief description of how I'm doing these games. I'm not picking them just letting you know what the difference is between the LW% and the Sim winning%.

The Side Value pick will be the team that has a higher Sim winning% then the LW%. The Money Line pick will be what ever team is winning more than 50% of the sims.

I'm going to list the games and put the pick(SV, ML) next to the team name. Along with the LW% and Sim%.

With that being said here are the results for the games

2007 NFL Year in Review: Buffalo Bills

Posted by DAMAN in Untagged

Attention Goldmembers: as we continue our journey back through time, we now find ourselves focusing on the Buffalo Bills.  2006 finish: 7-9, 2007 finish: 7-9, no improvement or regression.  My projection: 7-9, nailed it.  The 2007 Buffalo Bills are a study in abnormality.  By that, I mean that it's hard to figure out how this team finished with the record they did.  J.P. Losman came into the year as the starter, with high hopes after a strong finish to 2006, only to be ineffective, then get hurt.  One factor in his ineffectiveness may be the lack of depth at wide

There are no winners tonight

Place a bet on tonight's National title game.

That really is your only chance to end up a winner.  There is no other outcome that I see where we all would win tonight.  Regardless of which team wins tonight, we know that the real National champion wasn't crowned.  You can 't say that LSU and Ohio State are the best teams in the country.  Ohio State played a meatball schedule, while LSU has two losses.  I'm not saying we don't have two good teams playing tonight, but I am saying we don't have the best teams playing, at least not for sure

BCS championship

Where are the picks on the BCS title game? I will take LSU. I am a little concerned to see the line drop slightly, but I like LSU because they are more battle tested. I can't remember the last time the Buckeyes actually responded to a hard punch from their opponent. The '06 Michigan game comes to mind, but I never thought the Buckeyes were really in danger of losing that game even though the Michigan offense made it interesting. The Bucks took the early lead against Florida last year, but once the Gators punched back, it was all over. Ohio State took the lead against Illinois this year

Sports Betting Gone Bad

I know in some of my previous posts I’ve mentioned that I don’t bet on sports and I never plan to bet on sports again. It has been nine years (1999) since the last time I made a wager on a professional or any other type of sporting event and I plan to keep it that way. To be honest, I’m no good at picking these games against the line. It seems as though when I don’t place a wager I’m dead-on and when I have placed wagers in the past I couldn’t hit a game if my life literally depended on it. Maybe its the anxiety involved or the amount of pressure with making

NFL System: Divisional Playoff Projections

The system was very successful last year in the divisional round of the playoffs.  I remember because I was in Australia at the time.  The hotel I was staying at had a sportsbook, which wasn't uncommon, as there were sportsbooks on every street corner.  I won almost every bet, including small prop bets like "First score will be a field goal" and "Team X to win by X points" bets.  The end result was that the hotel had to dig in to their own safe to pay me out, and I celebrated with a Louis Vuitton tie and tickets to the Australian Open.
