a quick note about hockey -

yesterday, versus went live with the first iteration of nhl which can be found here:

We will be launching hockey at accuscore.com around mid january when we have had time to back test a bit more for our hard core users.

We look forward to seeing more hockey fans (aka puck heads no offense intended) here.

I am looking forward to the hockey simulations.

I've been getting a head start. I've been going to Versus to get the sims that accuscore runs for them. Have been treating it like the SV plays in baseball. I take my books odds and translate them to the SV odds. It's been doing pretty well so far although it's only been a couple of days. The one thing I did notice is that the team with the highest sim win% may not be the team with the highest avg. score. Assuming because in the sims they run there must be a few more blowouts faving one team more then the other. So I guess it's up to the individual if they want to go by the avg score or the highest sim%. I will like to see how they do the totals in hockey if it's going to be like in baseball with the median. Can't wait.
