accuscore investment vs. bankroll 2008/01/16 20:49
assuming that I always bet 2 to 3 % of my bankroll on a game and never more than 5%... how much would my bankroll have to be in order for the accuscore annual membership to make sense? Further, what kinds of bets on accuscore would I be looking for in order to get the ROI I need to come out ahead?

Here is your formula, if I derived it correctly a while back.

P = N * B * (S * (2+V) / (1+V) - 1)

where P is the total profit
N is the number of bets made
B is the bet ammount
S is the success fraction
V is the vigorish fraction

Use 0.10 for V, 0.55 for S (if you think you will get a 55% success rate from Accuscore), 0.03*BR for B, where BR is your bankroll, set N to the number of bets you expect to make in a month, and set P equal to the membership price per month. Solve for BR. Enjoy.
