NCAA BASTKETBALL AND STATSHARK 2007/03/25 21:30
before march madness i liked statshark but now i cant stand it. i hate it. it suck cock they say teams are have a 70% chance to win but end up losing great call. An example north carolina and georgetown, north carolina had a 70% chance of winning and they lose by 10, good call. im never using statshark again. i'll find another forecasting website

I am not trying to ba a jerk but you can't follow SS blindly.I went 4-0 on CBB this weekend because I faded SS with UCLA and GTOWN because of other variables in my system.SS is useful with the info they provide but I fade them as much as I tail them.GL if you move on but there are ways to win with SS if you combine it with other systems.

The problem with StatShark is that it attracts a lot of people who want winners and don't want to do any work. I've noticed that the people on here who put effort in to their StatShark research, regardless of how little effort it is, tend to do better. The people who complain and have problems usually have comments like "This had a win % of 60% and lost."

I could see their point if it said 100%, but 60-70% still means that they could lose 30-40% of the time. That's not a huge difference. If they played 10 times they'd lose 3-4 times. Today was one of those 3 times for UNC.

I've found that when I dig in to the numbers that StatShark provides I do much better than when I just take the live betting percentages. Nothing comes free in life, especially gambling winners.

Jesus how many times do I have to say this: please have the decency to post in the right sub-forum!!!!

BTW I second douglas' and scorpion's opinion; you gotta work harder than just following blindly. It's a GOLDMINE of information, but you gotta dig it up

If SS repeats NCAAB's performance next year, I'd be a very very very very happy guy.

I am going to get crucified for this, but it's time someone called a spade a spade. Better yet, it's time someone called a house-spade a house-spade. Any time there is any criticism leveled against Statshark all of a sudden it's SuperScorp and WonderDoug to the rescue to defend the integrity and honor of the beloved Shark.

In the interest of full disclosure, perhaps it is worth pointing out that both SuperScorp and WonderDoug both get their subscriptions for free as is indicated by their "date joined" information. Does the free membership require you to come running with your soap box everytime there is a disgruntled customer with a legitimate grievance? I don't mean to sound thankless, because your breakdown of how 70% winners still means 30% losers is mathematical wizardy at work.

Not to mention the priceless life advice that is given out at no charge such as, "Nothing comes free in life, especially gambling winners", is worth its weight in gold. Normally one would have to trek the himalayas to unearth such profound insight and inspirational messages, or perhaps the nearest fortune cookie. Come to think of it, aren't fortune cookies given out for free? Regardless, I cannot thank you enough for teaching me math AND life!

If I were to say that Statshark sucks would you and doug put on your stretch pants and cape and do a hero performance for me as well? If so, let me know in advance so I can bring a dancing bear and a spider monkey with an accordian.

And how could I forget, your offseason NFL thoughts have been more than enough for me to quit consulting Espn.com all together. I don't know how you have the time to do it all between being the statshark watchdog, nfl offseason expert, and taking over someone else's college basketball system. Do you think you have time to grease up the hair and get a cable access show for this year's nfl draft? With that long laundry list of pro-bono duties you never have to worry about fading from the collective memory of the kool-aid drinkers that reside at the Shark.

Since the weather is turning hot here in the south, I was wondering if you could offer some offseason lawn manicuring thoughts, or perhaps you have 17 years of the farmers almanac backlogged on a zip drive to aid those of us far less qualified for this sort of thing. Even better, do you have any wonderful cliched insights about the grass being greener?

Keep up the great work SuperScorp because the 22,000 subscribers would be lost without you. You are the Jim Jones of the Statshark cult. You better hurry to get your shine box because I think I hear another disgruntled customer right around the corner.
