Detroit blew a 5-2 lead in the third period on Tuesday against the Pittsburgh Penguins, and lost in overtime.  On Thursday night they found themselves down 2-1 in the third period, only to score three goals and win 4-3 against Tampa Bay.  Tonight the rough road could continue against the Florida Panthers.  AccuScore has simulated tonight’s contest 10,000 times, and while Detroit is winning 60.2 percent of simulations, they are on AccuScore Upset Watch, as the average simulation is being decided by half a goal.

Tomas Holmstrom, Pavel Datsyuk, and Marian Hossa are combining to score a goal in 81 percent of simulations for the Red Wings.  Valtteri Filppula, Henrik Zetterberg, and Johan Franzen are combining for a goal in 96 percent of simulations, with Zetterberg and Franzen being the most likely to score a goal tonight for Detroit.  Detroit will turn to backup goalie Ty Conklin, who is stopping 27 of 29 shots in AccuScore simulations.

Florida has won two straight since losing six in a row at the start of the month.  Cory Stillman and Nathan Horton are combining for a goal in 51 percent of simulations, while David Booth is leading the team in goals in tonight’s simulations.  Craig Anderson is giving Florida a solid chance of winning, stopping 92.4 percent of shots faced in tonight’s simulations.
