Two of the top teams in the Western Conference meet up tonight as the Anaheim Ducks take on the Detroit Red Wings in their second matchup of the season.  The Red Wings lost the last meeting 5-4 in overtime.  Detroit is seeing a different result tonight, winning 66.3 percent of AccuScore simulations by an average score of 4-3.

Chris Osgood is stopping 20 of 23 shots in net for Detroit tonight, marking this the sixth full game in a row that he’s given up at least three goals.  Dan Cleary, Pavel Datsyuk, and Marian Hossa are combining for a goal tonight, with two or more goals in 22 percent of simulations.  Johan Franzen, Henrik Zetterberg, and Mikael Samuelsson are combining for a goal in every simulation tonight, with two or more goals in 23 percent of simulations.  Hossa is most likely to score a goal tonight for Detroit, scoring in 63 percent of simulations.

J.S. Giguere is expected to start tonight, and is stopping 33 of 37 shots against Detroit.  Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry, and Bobby Ryan are combining for a goal in 81 percent of simulations.  Brendan Morrison, Teemu Selanne, and Chris Kunitz are combining for a goal in 80 percent of simulations tonight.  Selanne is the only player scoring a goal in more than half of simulations.
