Kendall Hunter of Oklahoma State and Jeremiah Johnson and LaGarrette Blount of Oregon might not be household names, but they are serious football players and should put up some big numbers on the same field that LaDainian Tomlinson plays on every Sunday. Oklahoma State is projected to win over 60 percent of the time by an average score of 41-35. The 76 combined points is one of the highest totals for any game this bowl season. Cowboy quarterback Zac Robinson has had a great season as have several others in the Big 12. He is projected for 200 yards and nearly 2 scores passing while also rushing for more than 35 yards. Hunter is forecasted to rush for 115 yards and a 6.7 yards per carry average. Back-up Keith Toston is projected to add over 50 yards rushing as well. The two are combining for two touchdowns per simulation. Oregon quarterback Jeremiah Masoli struggled early on in the season passing the ball, but has improved that part of his game markedly throwing for 572 yards in his final two games. He is now a true dual-threat under center having also run for over 600 yards on the season including 170 against UCLA. AccuScore projects Masoli to throw for nearly 190 yards and rush for at least 30 as well. Johnson and Blount form the popular speed-power back duo, and are forecasted to combine for over 130 yards and 6.3 yards per carry. Don't like our simulations?
