There are some Fantasy Hockey experts who believe Ovechkin could eventually top the All-Time goal scoring record. Since he’s only 31 years old, the experts could be right. Sidney Crosby, C, PIT – Crosby is on a tear this season, with 50 points in 37 games played thus far. That’s good enough for second place in overall points right behind Conor McDavid. Crosby has great vision for developing plays, and just his presence on the ice can lift the play of the players around him. Tyler Seguin, C, DAL – The 24-year-old Seguin has blossomed into one of the best players in the game since being traded to the North Stars in 2013. Between goals and assists, Seguin has put up more than a point per game in each of the last three seasons and he’s on pace to repeat that feat again this year. He’s been a consistent force for the Sharks, having played in all 82 regular season games in each of the past three years. He averaged just shy of a point per game over that span. Connor McDavid, C, EDM – McDavid makes this list simply because he represents the next generation of great goal scoring players. There is little doubt that McDavid is destined to be among the Top 5 superstars, and he’s well on his way already. In 47 games thus far, McDavid has 15 goals and a whopping 39 assists, and his 54 points leads the NHL. His presence on the ice has lifted the Oilers into playoff contention once again. It won’t be long before they will be pursuing a Stanley Cup with McDavid leading the way. The good folks at Steiner Sports realize that McDavid’s future is extremely bright.
