mark for the first time in four weeks. In Week 10, McCown faces a dreadful Bucs secondary that ranks 31st against the pass according to DVOA (Defense-adjusted Value Over Average). Don’t be clouded by McCown’s history or age, it’s 2017 and he’s more than Fantasy-relevant right now.
Projection: 24 FP
Orleans Darkwa (NYG) at 49ers- Here’s some food for thought. Start any RB against the 49ers defense. Darkwa isn’t the most exciting of options, but if you’re in need at RB or flex for Week 10, he has the potential to produce at an RB2 level. Darkwa’s been the workhorse back for the Giants and with few options in the passing game, he should get plenty of volume. The 49ers offense is poor as well, so game script suggests a close, low scoring affair, which bodes well for Darkwa, especially in Standard leagues due to his lack of targets through the air.

Devin Funchess (Car) vs. Dolphins- With Kelvin Benjamin shipped off to the Buffalo Bills, Funchess now takes over as Cam Newton’s go to target and big man in the red-zone. In his first game without Benjamin on the opposite side, Funchess gave PPR owners a solid 13.6 Fantasy points. Expect this trend to continue, especially with the Panthers facing a weak Dolphins pass defense in Week 10. I believe Funchess can give you solid WR2 production in both PPR and Standard formats.

Robert Woods (LAR) vs. Texans- Woods has been the most reliable receiver on the Rams through nine weeks. Woods has posted 10-plus Fantasy points in five of his last six matchups, a model of consistency in today’s NFL. Not only has Woods been Goff’s go to target and chain mover, but also the most consistent weapon besides Todd Gurley. A matchup versus a depleted Texans defense, combined with Woods’ established position on the Rams, and you have yourself one of safest, high-floor receivers in Fantasy.
Projection: 18 FP
Carlos Hyde (SF) vs. Giants- The 1-8 New York Giants are 1-8 for a reason. Not only are key players injured across the board, but their talented defense has been anything but. The Giants are in the bottom 10 defensively against both the pass and run, and the 49ers will look to exploit them with the ground game since their QB situation leaves much to be desired. Look for Carlos Hyde to receive high volume in Week 10. There isn’t much competition for touches and the matchup is a good one. All signs suggest a promising game for Hyde.
Projection: 13 FP
Bilal Powell (NYJ) at Buccaneers- Boom Boom Bilal Powell jumps up the list this week for a few reasons. First, the matchup is great, as the Bucs have all but completely fallen apart. Second, Matt Forte hasn’t practiced all week and comes into Week 10 with a questionable designation. Lastly, Powell is a quality back who provides versatility as a serious threat in the passing game; Josh McCown is no slouch in 2017 either. If Forte is ruled out, which looks to be the case right now, then Powell is a must-start in all formats, especially in PPR, where his floor is raised to an RB2 level with RB1 upside.
Projection: 21 FP (if Forte’s ruled out)
The Sit’em Six
T.Y. Hilton (Ind) vs. Steelers- Hilton’s had three great games. Otherwise, there’ve been too many duds, which is expected given that Andrew Luck is out. But, Jacoby Brissett has proven capable and been somewhat of a pleasant surprise. Most games I wouldn’t suggest benching Hilton since he’s clearly an elite level WR in the NFL, but this week’s a different story. Facing the Steelers is one of the most difficult matchups Hilton will face in 2017. Their secondary’s been as close to a lockdown unit as any other team, and although Brissett’s held his own he will struggle in Week 10. It’s difficult to sit a player you drafted in the second or third round, but if you have other prominent options or play in a shallow league, I’d steer in that direction.

Keenan Allen (LAC) at Jaguars- It’s at the point that you can’t start any QBs or WRs against this stifling Jags secondary. The only usable Chargers in Week 10 are Melvin Gordon and Hunter Henry. No one has been able to crack the code against this Jags pass defense in 2017, so why now? Allen’s been on a cold streak of late, so this is not the right game to break out.
Projection: 6 FP
DeMarco Murray (Ten) vs. Bengals- Murray’s gotten 10 or more Fantasy points only twice this season. The Bengals have done well against the ground game all year. Murray seems to be breaking down and Derrick Henry is cutting into a lot of his time. In PPR, he gets a boost for being the sole pass catcher in the backfield, which is a weakness for the Bengals. You could easily have a better option on your bench.

Kenyan Drake/Damien Williams (Mia) at Panthers- The hottest new toys off the market, Drake and Williams showed what they can do in their first appearance splitting duties. They both scored a significant number of points and the duo produced in the passing game as well. However, that was against the Raiders. Now they go into Carolina to face a top of the line front seven. Moving forward, I like both Miami Dolphins RBs, mostly Kenyan Drake for having the higher upside.
Projection: 9 FP/7 FP
Tyrod Taylor (Buf) vs. Saints- Taylor will always have a high floor because of his running ability, but he’s up and down in the passing game. Overall, he’s one of the safer QBs when handling the ball, but with legs. The question is, which weeks will he take it to the next level? Week 10 isn’t one of those matchups, as the Saints pass defense is stellar. Expect Taylor to get around his floor with not much room beyond that.
Projection: 16 FP
Vernon Davis (Wsh) vs. Vikings- Davis has proven to be a solid Fantasy option once again. Like last season, Davis is stepping in nicely for the once again injured Reed. Week 10 is a different chapter to his story and unfortunately, it won’t end well. Hopefully, Davis isn’t your top or only option because 5-to-7 points isn’t what you’re looking for.
