contusion that could have him sidelined for several games. While he may not need a DL stint, it would not be surprising to see Betts on the bench for at least a week. Our algorithms are estimating a two-week Optimal Recovery Time, so he won’t be 100% for a while. This is tough for owners to hear, as Betts has been arguably the best Fantasy player so far in 2018.

Nick Castellanos, OF DET – Start

Castellanos missed Sunday’s matchup with the Royals while he is recovering from the flu. While a terrible thing to go through, the flu does not usually have any lingering effects. He is likely to start on Monday, with a slight chance he might wait until Tuesday. Regardless, owners should play him whenever he is in the lineup.

Didi Gregorious, SS NYY – Cautious Start

Didi Gregorious was on the injury watch list on Sunday as he was questionable for the game after sustaining a head injury during a base path collision. Not only did the Yankees say that Gregorious was fine, they played him on Sunday, and he had a decent game. Gregorious is not in the clear yet, but he is looking like he will probably be good to go the rest of the week.

Jean Segura, SS SEA – Cautious Start

Jean Segura left the Mariners’ Sunday game early with a headache. It is unclear what the issue was, but rumors say he may have been dehydrated. At the moment, there is no reason to be worried of any long-term effects. But as with any head injury or issue, keep an eye on him in your lineup as things can quickly change.

Tommy Pham, OF STL – Risky Start

Tommy Pham left Saturday’s game in the second inning with some groin tightness. Groin injuries are not completely new for Pham, who missed a little time earlier in the season with a similar injury. That being said, it doesn’t seem to be especially serious, and a DL stint is likely to be avoided. But anytime the legs are the subject of injury talk, you have to be concerned, as they are critical to the performance of players. He is now a High Injury Risk, and his latest groin problem comes with a two-week Optimal Recovery Time.

Yoenis Cespedes, OF NYM – Risky Start

Cespedes is back at it again with the lower body injuries. Cespedes left Sunday’s game a bit early after aggravating a right quad that has bothered him his whole career. Cespedes at times has come back in just a couple of days, and other times has taken weeks. Owners should avoid him in the coming week or two if possible. If it’s a mild sprain, he needs 2-3 weeks to recover. It could end up taking even longer, though, due to his concerning history.

Adam Jones, OF BAL – Sit

Adam Jones missed the Orioles game on Sunday after getting hit by a pitch on the wrist during Saturday’s matchup. At first the injury seemed like it might not be too bad, since Jones stayed in the game and even got another at bat. But after the game he was sent to get X-rays, so it must have been of some concern to the team. Many media outlets are reporting that the injury is not serious, but Fantasy players should avoid Jones. Our estimated Optimal Recovery Time is 3 weeks for a contusion or bone bruise, so he won’t be ready to go at 100% for most of May.
