defense that has been Top 5 in points allowed to the position over the last month. What makes him a good play, you might ask? Let’s just chalk this up as an absolute gut call. The Browns will undoubtedly be playing from behind as usual in this game, putting more pressure on RG3 to make plays to keep them in the game. If you can remember all the way back to the preseason, Griffin had quite a knack for throwing the deep ball to Terrelle Pryor, a hookup that should click in this matchup. Although it may not seem like much in the stat column, RG3 could finish with 250 yards and two scores. He’s a very sneaky streaming option at QB, and a cheap DFS play that no one will be using.

Running Back

Kenneth Dixon @ New England Patriots

Dixon will be a very intriguing play in Week 14 as the Ravens, coming off a blowout win, travel to New England. Since the Week 8 bye, Dixon has been becoming more involved in the game plan and over the last two weeks, he has been outperforming Terrance West and making the most of his touches.

This week’s game could see the Ravens either playing from behind all day or depending on their defense to keep things close. Odds are that Joe Flacco and company will be playing from behind, which only benefits Dixon and his pass-catching ability. Look for Dixon to beat West in playing time this week. In fact, he could very well take the lead job and run with it. If you’re in the first week of your league’s playoffs and in need of help at the RB position, plug Dixon in this week. Look for him to provide 90 total yards and to finally get into the end zone for the first time. He will be a viable flex play this week in both season-long and DFS; a cheap player who could double his value.

Wide Receiver

Tyler Lockett @ Green Bay Packers

Could we finally be on the verge of a Tyler Lockett breakout? That could very well be the case, as he is coming off what was easily his best game of the season. Lockett is likely keep the trend going against the Packers in a back and forth Week 14 affair. Both offenses seem to be rolling, and the Packers’ secondary has been giving away points every week. This game will likely have the highest scoring total for the week, so points could be spread around everywhere in this one. Look for Russell Wilson to find ways to get the ball into Lockett’s hands, with the possibility he will break yet another long TD play. Lockett could finish this game with his first 100-yard effort of the season, and he should find paydirt too. He’s a very sneaky and perhaps gutsy WR3/flex play for your playoff matchup. In DFS, consider using a lineup of Tyler Lockett and perhaps Tyreek Hill.

Tight End

Zach Ertz vs. Washington Redskins

It’s Fantasy playoff time, and you know what that means? It’s time for Zach Ertz’s yearly three-week explosion, which typically boosts his sleeper status for the following year’s drafts. Week 13 was the beginning, as he finished with a nine-catch, 79-yard game with a touchdown. This week, with the Redskins coming to town, the Eagles will need to keep pace through the air. With Jordan Matthews on the mend, Ertz becomes the primary beneficiary in the passing attack. Even better for Ertz, the Redskins have been among the league’s worst teams in points allowed to tight ends. Expect yet another big game from Ertz; eight receptions for 90 yards and score wouldn’t be a surprise. Ertz is easily a Top 10 TE in season-long leagues, and a DFS target that many players will be on in Week 14.

Kicker

Dan Carpenter vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Barring bad weather conditions, Carpenter should be in store for a good game against the Steelers. The Bills’ offense has been playing hot, which will provide him with a few scoring opportunities in Week 14. Two or three field goals and a couple of extra point attempts are what you are looking for here. He’s a streaming option in season-long and a cheap play in DFS.

Defense

Detroit Lions vs. Chicago Bears

A bad offense on the road against a divisional opponent typically goes well for the defense. If the Lions can devise a game plan to slow down Jordan Howard, this could get ugly in a hurry. Matt Barkley will be under pressure all afternoon, which could lead to a turnover or two. Add in a few sacks and you have the makings of a very good D/ST play. The Lions could be a Top 5 defense this week, and a DFS option that many players will likely be on.
