a game this season, but what is the one thing he has going for him? The Jets continue to play from behind. With the Jets playing their first home game against the Dolphins, this team will again be trailing for most of the day. With the Dolphins’ secondary looking soft against the Chargers in Week 2, this could be a matchup to get McCown on track. If you can get past the early interception he is likely to throw, by the end of the game you could have a QB that will be close to 300 yards passing with two touchdowns. He’s most likely not a player you’ll look at in season-long leagues, but he’s a very cheap option in DFS that no one will be playing.

Theo Riddick vs. Atlanta Falcons: Theo Riddick is a player that has a certain role in this offense, and that is the role of the pass-catching back. This week’s matchup against the Atlanta Falcons presents a favorable situation for that type of player. This Falcons team has given up a receiving touchdown to running backs in each of the last two games, pointing towards increased value for Riddick in Week 3. Also, if Ameer Abdullah continues to struggle in the running game, one would have to assume that Riddick begins to see more snaps there. You can expect this Lions team to be playing point for point with the Falcons all day, meaning plenty of opportunities for Riddick. Look for him to bring in six catches for 75 yards and a score. Anything he provides in the rushing game will be a bonus for you. He is certainly worth flex consideration in Week 3, and a cheap play at running back in DFS that is sure to pay off.

Wide Receiver

Josh Bellamy vs. Pittsburgh Steelers: A player that will be an under the radar pick-up in seasonal leagues, Josh Bellamy had a surprisingly decent game in Week 2 for the injury- riddled Bears. After catching four of seven targets and being out on the field for 98 percent of the receiver routes, Bellamy now finds himself with value in PPR formats. Playing against the Steelers in Week 3, the Bears will undoubtedly be behind for most of this game. As a result, Bellamy could see a lot of action in the second half. I can see him getting to six catches for 85 yards and a score as the Bears find themselves going for garbage time points. He could be quite the sneaky play as a WR3 for the week, but he will definitely be a deep dive in DFS that will allow you to build your roster with studs elsewhere.

Tight End

Jared Cook @ Washington Redskins: Jared Cook currently finds himself among the Top 12 tight ends with 11 targets through two weeks so far. This has come on the heels of games in which the Raiders have been comfortably ahead and focusing on the ground game to control the clock. Things could be different in Week 3, as the Raiders travel to the east coast to play the Redskins. I expect this game to be surprisingly back and forth, meaning that Derek Carr and the passing attack will need to utilize all weapons in this matchup. With Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree garnering plenty of attention on the outside from the excellent Redskins corners, Carr will look over the middle to Cook to move the ball down the field. Cook could potentially see 10 targets in this game, and bring in seven or more catches. Those catches could total 90 yards and a score, which makes Cook a definite streaming option in Week 3, especially with the injuries at the position last week. In DFS, Cook should be a player to target to build your lineup as a sneaky cheap option.

Kicker

Ryan Succop vs. Seattle Seahawks: With the 49ers easily moving the ball on the Seahawks for most of last week’s game, the Titans offense could provide plenty of scoring opportunities. I expect at least three field goal attempts for Succop in this game to go along with the extra points he’s sure to give you. If he is available in your seasonal leagues, grab him and start him. For your DFS lineup, Succop will be a guy towards the bottom of the pricing chart who could return double his value.

Defense

Dallas Cowboys @ Arizona Cardinals: Let’s be honest, this Cardinals offense has looked horrid through two weeks. Without David Johnson to mask the holes on this team, every weakness has been showing itself. The Cowboys, on the other hand, have been Jekyll and Hyde on defense. This game will be a test for each team – weakness against weakness. But I expect the Cowboys to play angry after the beating they received in Denver. I can see three sacks and a couple of turnovers in this game, making the Cowboys defense a sneaky play for your DFS lineup in Week 3.
