have sat out anyways. On top of the fact that Wade is a High Injury Risk, he also just demoted himself to the bench, making J.R. Smith part of the starting five. He was averaging seven points, 2.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.8 blocks in 23 minutes as a starter, so his numbers are going to be even worse coming off the bench. Wade might even be a drop candidate in some leagues.

Domantas Sabonis IND – Start ‘Em

week 2

Myles Turner missed the past four games with a concussion and sore neck, which means Domantas Sabonis has been starting at center. He already has two double doubles this season and is a great short-term option while he steps in for Turner. Sabonis is averaging 11 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and one block so far this season. He should be considered a healthy start.

Anthony Davis NO – Sit ‘Em

While it is definitely good news that the MRI on Anthony Davis’ knee came back clean, he still shouldn’t be in Fantasy lineups for Week 2. Davis exited Tuesday’s game with a left knee injury and was able to walk back to the locker room under his own power. Davis reportedly sustained the injury when he banged knees with Moe Harkless, so at least it’s not a non-contact injury. The Pelicans are treating Davis as day-to-day but he is still a High Injury Risk according to the Inside Injuries algorithm, making him a risky start.

DeMarcus Cousins NO – Start ‘Em

With Anthony Davis (knee) day-to-day this week, DeMarcus Cousins should be wide open to put up some big numbers. He scored a season-high 39 points on Tuesday when Davis left in the first quarter, and added 13 rebounds, three assists, a steal, and a block. He has double doubled the past three games, and we expect that to at least remain the same, if not increase for the rest of Week 2. He’s also healthy.

Markelle Fultz PHI – Sit ‘Em

Fultz has already been ruled out of the next three games after having cortisone shots in his shooting shoulder, so he is a pretty obvious sit. Durability is definitely going to be a problem for this rookie, who missed time in the Summer League to a high ankle sprain. He’s a High Injury Risk and honestly might not even be worth a bench spot for a while.
