    work of the minors, he continued to crush major league pitching, smashing 16 HRs and drawing 36 walks in 232 at-bats. Expectations were obviously through the roof this spring because he had catcher eligibility and would be playing outfield every day. That excitement quickly dissipated after Schwarber tore his ACL in a collision with Dexter Fowler in the Cubs second game of the season. Even if Schwarber maintains catcher eligibility in your league for next year, he is not long for it because of the third catcher on this list (and his own defensive shortcomings). Still, even as an outfielder, Schwarber can swing a Top 25 bat and should be valued as such. He is definitely worth inquiring about this offseason.
