10. Freeman suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game and had to go to the sidelines. The fact that he went from a limited participant Wednesday to a full participant Thursday and Friday is very encouraging, but a knee injury is always a concern for a running back. Both of the Falcons’ top offensive weapons are High Injury Risks going into this weekend’s matchup with the Cowboys.

C.J. Anderson suffered an ankle injury in the Broncos’ Week 9 loss to the Eagles and was limited in practice on Wednesday with the injury. He only played 23 snaps last week, which we believe was partly due to the injury and partly due to game flow. He has been trending down recently with Devontae Booker and Jamaal Charles getting more touches, and with an ankle injury now hindering him, Anderson isn’t going to be much more than a flex option for the next two weeks. He is not on the final injury report, but his injury does remain a concern.
DeMarco Murray TEN: knee injury
Murray came away with a minor knee injury after the Titans’ Week 9 win over the Ravens, but it doesn’t appear to be anything serious. He practiced in full this week. The major concern here is Murray’s injury history, especially with lower body injuries. He dealt with hamstring issues this season that date all the way back to the preseason and remains a High Injury Risk.
Wide Receivers:
Julio Jones ATL: high ankle sprain
The Inside Injuries algorithm is calculating a high ankle sprain (grade 2) for Julio Jones, which comes with a four week Optimal Recovery Time. Jones appeared to have sustained the injury in Sunday’s loss to the Panthers, though he was able to return and play through the injury. He did not practice on Wednesday and Thursday but was limited on Friday. Jones is no stranger to missing practice with injuries. Given Jones’ lengthy injury history, especially with lower body injuries, he is a High Injury Risk going into Week 10.
Dez Bryant DAL: ankle sprain
Dez Bryant is dealing with both ankle and knee injuries, but Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said Bryant’s knee is the primary concern. His status for Week 10 is uncertain, given that he did not practice on Wednesday and Thursday, and he was limited Friday. He is officially listed as questionable. Bryant’s knee limited him in practice last week but he got his right ankle rolled up in Sunday’s game, also re-injuring his knee. Both of these injuries require 2-4 weeks of recovery time according to the Inside Injuries algorithm, so he isn’t going to be healthy if he tries to play against the Falcons on Sunday.
Michael Thomas NO: ankle injury
Michael Thomas dealt with a minor injury leading up to Week 8, but a few limited practice sessions gave him enough rest to get through it. Thomas popped up on the injury report again this week, but this time with an ankle injury. He was limited at practice early in the week but was removed from the final injury report. Back to back lower body injuries aren’t usually a good sign, so even though this ankle injury is minor he won’t be fully healthy on Sunday.
Demaryius Thomas DEN: hamstring strain
Demaryius Thomas did not practice on Wednesday after picking up a hamstring injury, though it’s not clear when he got hurt. He had one of his best games of the season on Sunday. Unfortunately, this is not exactly a new injury for Thomas. He has dealt with hamstring issues on and off throughout his career and this looks like another aggravation. The receiver hasn’t missed a game to the injury yet and he was removed from the final injury report, so he will play. Thomas is a High Injury Risk, as he has been all season, and his Health Performance in Poor, so he won’t be near 100 percent if he tries to play this weekend.
Danny Amendola NE: knee injury
Amendola was limited in practice all week with a knee injury, which has been a lingering issue for a while now. He hasn’t been much of a fantasy star recently and his matchup with Denver’s defense on Sunday isn’t going to make him a good Fantasy option for Week 10 if he does play.
Emmanuel Sanders DEN: ankle sprain
Sanders made his return last week after suffering an ankle sprain in Week 6. It was obvious he wasn’t close to 100 percent, and given his limited reps in practice this week, there is a good chance his reps will be limited again in the game on Sunday. He is officially limited as questionable but we believe he will try to play again.
Jamison Crowder WAS: hamstring strain
After a week of limited practices, Crowder is officially listed as questionable but is likely to play in Week 10. He missed last week due to the injury and also battled a hamstring strain earlier in the season. Repeat muscular injuries are a concern and take longer to heal the second time around. He is still two weeks away from his Optimal Recovery Time, so it is too soon for him to safely return. He is a very risky Fantasy play if he is active.
T.Y. Hilton WR, Colts: groin strain
Hilton was added to the Colts injury report on Thursday with a groin strain. He is officially listed as questionable after a limited practice on Thursday and Friday. Right now Inside Injuries has calculated a grade 2 (moderate) groin strain, which comes with a 3-4 week Optimal Recovery Time. Hilton should sit in Week 10 to avoid a more serious injury. He was already a High Injury Risk due to his long history of lower body injuries, including muscular strains. That doesn’t bode well for a quick recovery.
Tight Ends:
Charles Clay BUF: knee surgery
Clay is supposed to make his return on Sunday after going down in Week 5 with a knee injury that required an arthroscopic procedure. Clay suffered a torn meniscus that had to be trimmed during surgery and an MCL sprain. He was a limited participant at practice all week, and he is about to reach his Optimal Recovery Time, so all signs are pointing to a Week 10 return. Unfortunately, he remains a High Injury Risk, making him a risky Fantasy option this week. It will be a week or so before Clay starts to look like himself on the field again.
Delanie Walker TEN: bruised ankle
Walker was able to play through a bruised ankle in Week 9 but it wasn’t the Titans’ smartest decision to put him out there. He didn’t practice early in the week until a limited practice Friday, but given that was the routine last week, he will probably play through the injury again in Week 10. He is a High Injury Risk.
Jordan Reed WAS: hamstring strain
A hamstring strain forced Reed to miss Week 9, and he more doubtful than questionable for Week 10. Reed was limited on Wednesday, doing 1-on-1 drills at practice. On Thursday he ramped up his participation a bit only to be listed as a DNP on Friday. Reed remains a very risky Fantasy option. He entered the season a High Injury Risk due to his foot/toe problems, then he suffered an SC sprain. Now it’s his hamstring that is a concern. Reed is always getting hurt and will remain a High Risk player for the remainder of the season.
