The Sprint Cup Series is back at Michigan International Speedway for the second time this season. In mid-June it was Penske Racing’s Joey Logano ($10,400) taking checkers at the Firekeepers Casino 400

at MIS, the fourth win by a Ford in the past eight races at the track.

Logano will be a popular DFS driver with plenty of exposure for all this weekend, as he has a 120.5 Driver Rating over the past five races, according to NASCAR’s Loop Data, best among all drivers. During the span he has led more laps (260) than any other driver, and he has run 88.6 percent of his laps inside the Top 15 while posting a 5.0 Average-Finish Position (AFP), also best among all entrants with at least two starts at the track.

Logano’s teammate and Michigan native Brad Keselowski ($10,200) is still seeking his first-career win at his home track, and if that happens Rochester Hills will party all night. Keselowski has made 14 career starts in the Irish Hills with four Top 5 finishes, seven Top 10s and 10 Top 20s while leading 59 laps. His 13.0 AFP is tremendous given his lack of wins. In fact, he is the only driver in the Top 10 in AFP with at least two career starts at the track and no wins. A checkered flag in Michigan will happen soon for the Blue Deuce. The lack of wins at Michigan should not dissuade DFS owners from selecting him. In fact, a Penske one-two lineup strategy in DraftKings and NASCAR’s Fantasy Live is a good move as you can afford both and find plenty of other mid-tier and low-priced values to cash big this weekend.

Hendrick Motorsports has been to Victory Lane in three of the past nine races at this track, but two of those drivers are unavailable or inactive this weekend. Jeff Gordon won the August 2014, and he has been subbing for the injured Dale Earnhardt Jr. (concussion). Dale Jr. won the June 2012, but he remains sidelined due to concussion. Gordon is not available as a sub this weekend due to a previous engagement, although he’ll be back for Darlington next weekend.

Alex Bowman ($8,100) steps into the driver’s seat for Michigan and is a C-list option for Yahoo! players, although not quite the slam-dunk Gordon has been in past weeks. Bowman doesn’t have the history and good results like the veteran Gordon, but if you want to save other drivers for the Chase races, then Bowman helps you do that. The No. 88 limped to a 39th-place finish after Earnhardt was collected in an accident in June, so Bowman can’t do much worse.

Jimmie Johnson ($9,300) and Chase Elliott ($8,700) certainly should not be forgotten about, especially at these low salaries. Johnson has a win in 29 career Michigan starts with 11 Top 10 finishes and 20 Top 20s. He also has 637 laps led at MIS, most of any driver in this weekend’s field. Elliott made a tremendous debut at the track in June, racing to a runner-up finish in his first Sprint Cup Series effort in the Irish Hills. He led 35 laps, moving up from 10th to 2nd to reward DraftKings players with a handful of Place Differential points in the process. At a mid-tier price he is a great value heading into the weekend.

Don’t forget about Kasey Kahne ($7,800), either, as the Hendrick driver is a sleeper in Michigan at a solid price tag. He quietly posted a 13th-place finish in June at Michigan, and he has a win, eight Top 5s, 10 Top 10s and 17 Top 20s in 25 career starts with a solid 15.7 AFP. Kahne is frequently overlooked due to higher-profile teammates Johnson and Earnhardt, but his record is just as solid at select tracks, including Michigan, and he comes with a cut-rate price.

The Joe Gibbs Racing stable had mixed results in June’s race. Starting with the good, Carl Edwards ($9,500) raced to a fifth-place showing, which is no surprise given his dominance at the track over the years. He leads all drivers with at least two career starts with a 9.5 Average-Finish Position, turning in two victories, nine Top 5s and an impressive 17 Top 10s in 24 career starts, leading 345 laps and, perhaps most importantly, never recording a DNF.

Matt Kenseth ($9,700) is the last JGR to go to Victory Lane in Michigan, winning the Pure Michigan 400 last summer. He has three career wins with 14 Top 5s and 20 Top 10s in 34 starts at MIS, posting a 10.3 AFP. That impressive Average-Finish Position is second-best among all drivers with at least two starts. He has led a total of 151 laps over the past five starts, second-best among all drivers.

Now, the JGR ugly stats. Denny Hamlin ($8,900) finished 33rd in the June race following a wreck, and he does not appear in the Top 10 in Driver Rating over the past five starts at Michigan. He has tasted victory twice in 21 starts at the track, but he hasn’t been to Victory Lane in the Irish Hills since June 2011. Since then he has really struggled. His teammate Kyle Busch ($10,000) was dead-last among the 40 drivers after an engine blew, as Michigan continues to vex him. He has won just once in 23 tries while recording only four Top 5s and six Top 10s. His marginal 20.5 AFP screams stay away for Fantasy purposes in all formats, especially NASCAR’s Fantasy Live where he is the second-most expensive option at $28.00. There are way better values to be had, including the Penske drivers who are both cheaper.

Stewart-Haas Racing’s Kevin Harvick ($10,700) is riding high after winning at soggy Bristol last weekend. He was fifth in June’s race in the Irish Hills, one of nine career Top 5 finishes in 31 starts. He has one victory back in August 2010 while posting a respectable 12.9 AFP. He’ll be among the top drivers this weekend, although his DraftKings salary is a tad high given his one win in 31 starts at the track. Teammate Kurt Busch ($9,100) might be a better value with three wins in 31 starts, while leading 445 laps in his career at Michigan. While his wins and 11 Top 10 finishes are impressive, his eight DNFs are rather alarming. He was able to roll to a 10th-place showing in June, though.

Chip Ganassi Racing’s Kyle Larson ($8,500) recorded 28 fastest laps last weekend at Bristol, but a late wreck derailed him and he posted a marginal 24th-place finish, his second uneven result. Do not expect the slump to last. He was third in June’s Michigan run, and he has finished 20th or better in five career starts with a solid 16.8 AFP despite one DNF which caused him to finish in last place in August 2014. Larson is a mid-tier guy who usually exceeds DFS salary expectations.

Richard Childress Racing’s Austin Dillon ($7,900) is a serious contender for the Chase, but you wouldn’t know it by his low DraftKings salary. He is 16th or better in six of his past seven races, and he finished in eighth in the spring race at Michigan. Dillon has 21 career laps led in eight starts, he has zero DNFs and a solid 16.6 AFP, finishing 30th or higher in every run. As a No. 4 or 5 DraftKings driver, he is a steal.

Dillon’s teammate Paul Menard ($7,100) has an even lower DFS salary, even though he checks in 10th in Driver Rating (90.9) over the past five starts at Michigan. While he has just one lap led during the span, he has run 68.9 percent of his laps inside the Top 15 while recording an impressive 9.2 AFP, fourth-highest on the board among all drivers with at least two starts at the track. He is a must-have sleeper, as he always seems to turn in respectable runs at the track. While he has never won in 20 starts, he does have six Top 10s and 12 Top 20s with just one DNF.

Even lower on the salary list is Front Row Motorsports driver Chris Buescher ($6,600), who continues to make headlines. After his rain-shortened win at Pocono, he was 30th at Watkins Glen. Was the Cinderella story over? Not by a long shot. He rebounded with a strong fifth-place at Bristol to keep his Chase hopes very much alive, and he looks to build on a solid 20th-place finish in Michigan in June. He has plenty of momentum, and suddenly Ford is throwing money his way trying to keep his ride in tip-top shape. Buescher is an outstanding value in DraftKings due to his soft pricing, and he is another one of those C-list drivers at Yahoo! who will help you tremendously down the stretch. He is also a great value at just $11.00 in NASCAR’s Fantasy Live.

Lastly, DFS owners might have a lot more exposure in Roush Fenway Racing’s Greg Biffle ($6,800) than usual. He leads all drivers with four career wins in Michigan, and he is the last driver to win back-to-back races at the track, with the most recent coming in June 2013. Biffle has managed a 13.1 AFP in 27 career starts in the Irish Hills, posting 10 Top 5s, 15 Top 10s and 22 Top 20s with 527 laps led and zero DNFs. While he doesn’t do much elsewhere, Michigan is still one place he shines. He was 19th in June, and isn’t a bad pick-up in NASCAR’s Fantasy Live at $18.75.
