trigger and aggressive on the waiver wire. This is also a great time of the season to be shopping for underperforming players. One in particular that makes for a fine buy-low is Allen Robinson. The targets are there, the skills are still there, but the stats have not been. He hasn’t topped 72 yards all season, and that was way back in Week 1. Act quickly though, because he has a date with the Raiders secondary on Sunday and that could be just what he needed to get back to stud status. Where You At? By Future
Russell Wilson (QB, Seahawks)- “Man, where your a** was at when we took the city over? Where your a** was at when all they ask us, where the hold up? Where your a** was at when n****s first got the news? Now your a** around because we’re paying back dues. Where were you? When all the dogs needed help.” We’ve seen this from Wilson before. He had a similar start to the season last year, before finishing on an historic tear. He is dealing with multiple injuries right now and his play has reflected that. Wilson is still very much in the QB1 conversation, but he is starting to frustrate owners. It could be a good time to make a move in your seasonal league and get a price check in dynasty formats, as well. With Jimmy Graham beasting again and Tyler Lockett getting healthy, he might have better weapons than ever before.

Cody Kessler (QB, Browns) – “These arms of mine, they are lonely. Lonely and feeling blue. These arms of mine, they are yearning. Yearning from wanting you. And if you would let them hold you Oh, how grateful I will be.” There’s a really good chance that Kessler ends up being a career backup, but he has been pretty impressive for a rookie that gets comped to Alex Smith. With a smallish frame and limited arm strength, it was easy to write him off. On the plus side, he has shown poise and command of the offense, along with above average accuracy and decision-making. Case and point: he has not had a game yet with less than 62.5 percent completion rate and only one INT. If Cleveland doesn’t draft a QB in the first round next spring, it will be a major upset. Kessler has the rest of the season to convince them otherwise. The Bengals defense has been chopped up a few times this year and not just by Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisberger. They allowed the 300-yard, four-TD performance to Trevor Siemian. Even with that, though, it is hard to like Kessler as anything more than a DFS tournament dart because of Terrelle Pryor’s questionable status. Kessler is tough to value in dynasty formats because of his very uncertain future, but it will be fun to watch it all play out. If you can invest very cheaply in a two-QB dynasty (<- the only way to play), it’s a gamble worth taking.
No Problem by Chance The Rapper featuring 2 Chainz and Lil’ Wayne
Ezekiel Elliott (RB, Cowboys) – “You don’t want no problems, want no problems with me, bih! You don’t want no problems, want no problems with me. Just another day, had to pick up all the mail.” Elliott has been as advertised thus far. He has no fewer than 134 rushing yards in the past four weeks and has more than 800 total yards on the season, along with five TDs. Just 21 years old, Elliott’s upside is otherworldly as a rusher. He is making a strong case for the number one RB spot in dynasty over the likes of Le’Veon Bell, David Johnson and Todd Gurley. Still, if you could dangle him to land a big name wideout in long-term formats, you have to think hard about pulling the trigger.
Run Away With Me by Carly Rae Jepsen
Jerick McKinnon (RB, Vikings) – “Run away with me. Run away with me. Oh baby, every single minute. I’ll be your hero and win it.” McKinnon is an interesting dynasty case study. He is a SPARQ freak that has shown well in limited action over the past two seasons. With Adrian Peterson’s season in doubt, McKinnon is getting a chance to be the lead runner over Matt Asiata. He had a solid performance against the Giants in Week 5, but has otherwise been pedestrian against the Panthers and Texans. He should also be used more in the passing game, which would enhance his value. He’s a low-end RB2 at the moment, but there’s definite upside here. Peterson is working hard to get back at some point this season, and we know he’s a mutant, so it is possible. His contract runs through 2017, but there is a chance they part ways with him this offseason. That does not necessarily mean the Vikings won’t bring in or draft someone else to strengthen the backfield depth when Peterson departs. That is why McKinnon is such a long-term gamble right now, but his ceiling makes him a worthy investment.
Hella Good by No Doubt
Kenny Britt (WR, Rams)- “You got me feelin’ hella good. So let’s just keep on dancin’. You hold me like you should. So I’m gonna keep on dancin’.” Full disclaimer: I have been a Kenny Britt supporter since he was drafted back in 2009. He flashed right away but injuries and off the field issues kept holding him back. He’s still just 28 years old and playing like a go-to receiver for the Rams. His career high in yardage and TDs came in just 12 games back in 2010 (775 yards and nine TDs). Expect a dip at some point, but Britt is definitely a legit WR3 option right now. He should be acquired on the cheap in dynasty formats as well, especially from a rebuilding team.
Dreamin’ by Jeezy featuring Keyshia Cole
DeVante Parker (WR, Dolphins) – “Song dedicated to anybody out there that got some dreams. Don’t give up on your dreams, real talk. Ready, Keysh, let’s go. Dreamin’ (I must be). Man, I must be. Dreamin’, dreamin’.” It is too early to give up on someone with Parker’s talent, but not too early to panic just a little. He showed well at the end of last year, after missing significant time with a foot injury. He was banged up again earlier this season, but came back to a 100-yard performance on 13 targets. Just when you thought WR3 value was on its way, Parker has been limited to 13 targets in his last three games combined. Buy now in dynasty formats and hold in seasonal ones too if you want upside on your bench.
The Boss by Rick Ross featuring T-Pain
Martellus Bennett (TE, Patriots) – “I got a fresh line up, fresh outfit. ‘Bout to have the parking lot on smash. Plus I got a Chevy with a 4-54 in the hood. That bitch got 125 in the dash. (She like a gangsta cause). I’m the biggest boss that ya seen thus far.” Bennett has always been a talented receiving option. After years of little usage in Dallas stuck behind Jason Witten, he started to emerge as a Fantasy asset for the Giants before breaking through in three seasons with the Bears. In advance of his ninth season, he was traded to the Patriots to wreak havoc on the league alongside Rob Gronkowski. Bennett already has two 100-yard performances and a three-TD game. He has received more than six targets just once, but his red zone prowess puts him as a borderline TE1 play. He is going to have some quiet performances, but outside of the elite few, who doesn’t? The Steelers have only allowed one TD to tight ends all season, so it might not be the week to play him in DFS. Bennett could still have a few more years of usefulness in dynasty formats as well, thanks to a lucrative situation.
A Matter Of Trust by Billy Joel
Austin Hooper (TE, Falcons) – “This time you’ve got nothing to lose. You can take it, you can leave it, whatever you choose. I won’t hold back anything. And I’ll walk away a fool or a king. Some love is just a lie of the mind. It’s make believe until it’s only a matter of time. And some might have learned to adjust. But then it never was a matter of trust.” Taken in the third round this past April, Hooper is an athletic tight end prospect with plenty of receiving upside. With the Falcons, he should have an active role in one of the best offenses in the game. While that is not likely to happen regularly this season, Hooper is definitely a name to file away for 2017. If you play in a dynasty format, you should be trying to acquire him as a throw-in player in a deal. As a suggestion, you should give a two-TE or TE premium league a try. It adds an interesting value wrinkle to the position.
