With plus matchups this week, the following five wide receivers are in the WR3/4 and or flex conversation. Each of these waiver wire options, one from each set of Thanksgiving week game periods have the potential to be difference makers in Week 12. They can be useful in larger leagues, if you are desperate for a plug in, or as nifty DFS plays.
Turn to Chargers Rookie WR on Turkey Day
Mike Williams, the Chargers first-round pick in this year’s NFL Draft, had his best game as a pro on Sunday.
The Clemson product caught 5-of-8 targets for 38 yards while logging 41 offensive snaps (55.4%) against the Bills. He also saw two targets inside the 20-yard line. To me, this looks like a changing of the guard with Williams having leapfrogged both Travis Benjamin and Tyrell Williams on the target totem pole.
Plug the rookie in as a boom or bust WR4/flex option or DFS play on Thanksgiving when the Chargers face a Dallas defense that surrenders the ninth most Fantasy points to the wide receiver position. Having given up an average of nearly 150 yards and more than a touchdown per game to wideouts, there should be enough to go around in the Chargers receiving corps on Turkey Day.
Inman Makes Interesting Add In 1pm ET Time Slot
Dontrelle Inman has 9 catches on 13 targets for 131 yards since joining the Bears two weeks ago. He’s almost instantly become a preferred target for rookie quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, who is trending up since Chicago’s Week 9 bye.
With Inman remaining on the field for more than 85 percent of the team’s offensive snaps, and the Bears seemingly removing the kid gloves holding back the offense, the wideout should slide in as WR4 or DFS option against the Eagles this week.
While playing from behind against a Philadelphia secondary that gives up the 13th most Fantasy points to wide receivers, garbage time should be great for Inman and his Fantasy owners.
Lock in Lockett at 4pm ET on Sunday
Watching Tyler Lockett on Monday night was intriguing. He made a couple of nice plays on offense, tallying 4 catches on 5 targets for 37 yards, along with 197 return yards on five kick returns on special teams.
I’m hoping for more of the same when he suits up against the 49ers at 4 pm ET on Sunday.In Week 2, Lockett put up his second best Fantasy output of the season with 6 catches for 64 yards (on 9 targets) against that same San Francisco defense, which gives up the 11th most Fantasy points to wide receivers, averaging 155 yards and a touchdown per game so far this season.
Expect a similar game from the speedy wideout on Sunday, putting him in the WR3/4 and DFS conversations.
Make Martavis Your Sunday Night Delight
Martavis Bryant is back on the Fantasy radar — on talent alone. The big wideout has returned to an explosive Steelers offense, following a one-game suspension in Week 8, albeit now behind JuJu Smith-Schuster on the team’s depth chart.

Since his return, Bryant has put up two performances that have left much to be desired — 3 catches for 42 yards in Week 10, and 2 grabs for 30 yards in Week 11. But with a Sunday Night Football matchup on tap with a Green Bay defense that gives up the eighth most Fantasy points to the wide receiver position, it’s likely that Bryant puts up his first 10-plus point performance since Week 2. That’s also the last time Bryant reached the end zone.
I have a gut feeling that we will be seeing Bryant get back in the end zone on Sunday night, making the red zone/deep threat a boom or bust flex play for Fantasy owners looking for an upside option on Sunday night.
Why Not Wallace On Monday Night?
Mike Wallace has recorded four catches and a touchdown in each of the Ravens previous two games. With a juicy Monday Night matchup against a Houston Texans defense that gives up more than 30 Fantasy points per game to opposing receivers, look for the speedy wideout to make it three straight.
To make things even more positive for Wallace, the Texans defense has given up six touchdowns to wide receivers in its past three games. After leading Baltimore in receiving in Week 11, look for the wide receiver to again top 50 yards and keep that touchdown streak alive.
Wallace, a WR3/4 in Week 12, is the kind of waiver wire find that could help secure your Fantasy team, seasonal or daily, a win on Monday night.
