What will it be this time? Will it be looking back at Fantasy owners blowing 80 percent of their budget on Tarik Cohen? Will it be Jared Goff and the Rams turning into a pumpkin after a shellacking of the Luck-less Colts?

Whatever it is, now is the time to strike in your league, whether you’re looking to cash in on someone that your league mates are overreacting to or if it’s someone that they are ready to cut bait on after one week.
Let’s take a look at a few players and some different trade scenarios that could net them.
Tom Brady (QB, Patriots), Drew Brees (QB, Saints): To say that the consensus No. 2 and No. 3 quarterbacks disappointed in Week 1 would be an understatement. Hell, Mike Glennon has more touchdown passes on the season after one week than Brady does. In fact, out of 30 qualified quarterbacks, Brady has the worst completion percentage in football (44.4 percent). And Brees? Well, let’s chalk that up to #DrewBreesOnTheRoad and the fact that the Vikings looked really, really good.
If you want to trade for either, you’re still going to have to pay up. But, use overreacting in your advantage.
The key to any trade is looking at need. If a team is loaded at wide receiver and hurting at running back and you offer them a wide receiver, you’re going to lose a potential trade partner. For this example, try to include Matthew Stafford, Sam Bradford or Alex Smith in the deal so that the person still has a quarterback.
You can use to your advantage that most people waited on a quarterback. You might have depth to spare if you drafted skill players when the Brady and Brees owners were taking quarterbacks.
Potential deal for Brady: Stafford and Adam Thielen/Kelvin Benjamin/Mark Ingram/Tevin Coleman.
Potential deal for Brees: Bradford/Smith and Stefon Diggs/Martavis Bryant/Mike Gillislee/Ty Montgomery
Speaking of Gillislee, when crowdsourcing for trades, fantasy football owners were looking to make, @BleedCubBlue311 on Twitter was targeting him in a trade. Gillislee is a tough player to get a true value for because it depends solely on the individual. We all know that Brady and Brees will be fine, but Gillislee was a polarizing player entering drafts. On the one hand, he was thought to be the back who would inherit the LeGarrette Blount role that resulted in 18 touchdowns last season. That’s how our Chris Mitchell feels after Gillislee’s three-score Week 1 performance. However, I side with Jake Ciely in feeling that the Patriots are too unpredictable to draw conclusions early. In fact, I have Rex Burkhead in three DraftKings lineups this weekend as a contrarian play to score.
But, if you want Gillislee right now, you’re going to have to treat him like a Top 12 option given his results last week. Be ready to give up a Dalvin Cook or Carlos Hyde straight up. Your best bet, if you’re a believer in Gillislee, would be to wait until after this weekend’s game against the Saints and make an offer then. His price is as high as it will ever be right now. If you insist on buying high on him, here are some offers that could work:
Michael Crabtree/Terrelle Pryor/Golden Tate/Tyreek Hill for Gillislee; Tarik Cohen/Bilal Powell/Ameer Abdullah and Emmanuel Sanders/DeSean Jackson/Sammy Watkins for Gillislee.
Scott Cobe, (via Facebook) mentioned that he was looking at Davante Adams as a trade target, and I couldn’t agree more with him. The Randall Cobb resurrection last week made Adams owners nervous, as they wonder if the offense can support three Fantasy relevant wideouts. Now, the arguments against Adams are there, as he had a historically bad 2015 season, and his touchdown production from 2016 screamed regression entering the season. If you were worried about Adams because of those reasons, I get it. If it’s because the artist formally known as Randall Cobb made an appearance last Sunday, pump the brakes a bit. Aaron Rodgers kept things short Sunday, as he averaged 7.4 yards per attempt and made a concerted effort to avoid Richard Sherman throughout the game. That benefited Cobb the most among Packers receivers. If you recall, on the touchdown pass that Rodgers connected to Jordy Nelson, he caught the Seahawks with too many men on the field and did what Rodgers does, finding the weakness in the defense and connecting over the middle.
Against the Falcons on Sunday night, expect it to be a high-scoring affair with Adams bouncing back in a big way. Now is the time to buy in on him if you’re a believer.
