The NHL is finally back to regular season games after All-Star weekend, which featured a cool backwards save from Carey Price (although it was much better in concept that in reality). The break gave a lot of players some much needed rest after a first half that was riddled with concussions. The Pittsburgh Penguins’ Sidney Crosby showed some life on Monday, skating with fellow injured teammates Simon Despres and Jordan Staal. There still is no timetable for Crosby’s return, but the on-ice workout brought a sense of optimism.
