Tonight there are two nationally televised NBA games amongst a full schedule. I’ve made two picks for the games on NBA TV (Utah Jazz at New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder at Portland Trail Blazers). Before I get into the picks I have to give a shout out to fellow Ivy alum Jeremy Lin. Last year, Lin played for my Golden State Warriors and was a disappointment to say the least. He played like a deer in headlights, which is why he ended up being cut and eventually ending up with the Knicks. Lin stepped up big against the New Jersey Nets on Saturday night, leading New York to a big win and winning over thousands of New Yorkers. Lin, in 36 minutes, scored 25 points, dished out seven assists, and grabbed five rebounds. I tip my hat to you, well done. It should be noted that the game revealed how bad the Knicks are. They needed a huge game from a backup to beat the Nets at home.
