| Leinart Makes Cardinals a Contender |

Matt Leinart did not lose his starting job due to injury, unless you consider a bruised ego an injury. AccuScore was frankly shocked that Leinart was named the starter in the first place. While he may be the younger QB, Kurt Warner is better and can actually get the ball to his stud receivers, Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin (in a contract dispute, but still playing well).
As long as he can stay healthy the Cardinals can once again win half their games and contend for a playoff spot. They only had a 31 percent chance of making the playoffs with Matt Leinart getting 80 percent of the snaps [NOTE: Even though Leinart was named the starter, AccuScore still assumed the Cardinals would rely on Warner at many points during the season]. Fantasy owners already were high on Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin, but this move to Warner should result in these two having an even bigger year than expected.

| I am a big admirer of Kurt Warner but surely the odds of his playing an entire season without injury are not good. On the other hand, the modest increase in stats for the receivers indicates that either you were too optimistic with Leinhart starting or you're not giving full credit to Warner starting - only 19 td's between Boldin and Fitz? Warner threw 21 td's in his last eight games, 13 of which went to AB and LF and they each missed one game. Seems like 23 for the season between them is a reasonable target. By the way, you guys do great work (otherwise, why bother with such a discussion as this). |
